WWE Scores Definitive Win in Concussion Lawsuit
– WWE has been cleared in the concusssion-related lawsuits filed against them. All of the lawsuits were officially dismissed on Monday, according to PWInsider. US District Court Judge Vanessa L. Bryant filed a thirty-nine page ruling dismissing all of the suits, which had been brought by a variety of former performers against the company.
The lawsuits had been filed alleging that WWE failed to protect the talents’ health in regard to concussions, CTE and other head-trauma related injuries. The most notable of the lawsuits was filed in July of 2016 and featured forty-one former performers.
The lawsuits had suffered an increasing number of setbacks over the last year or so, with Bryant ordering Konstantine Kyros, the plaintiffs’ lawyer, to file an amended claim in September or lose the case. In addition, a similar lawsuit filed by Kyros on behalf of Vito LoGrasso and Evan Singleton saw the final complaint dismissed in March.
