Ian McShane Confirmed to Return For John Wick: Chapter 4
It’s official: Ian McShane is reprising his fan-favorite role as Winston in John Wick: Chapter 4. Deadline has confirmed that the Deadwood actor has finalized talks to reprise his role as the morally dubious, allegiance-shifting concierge of the Continental Hotel.
“I couldn’t be happier than to welcome Ian McShane back to John Wick: Chapter 4,” director Chad Stahelski said in a statement. “He is not only an amazing actor but is an indispensable collaborator who has helped define the world of John Wick.”
McShane joins Keanu Reeves, Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgard, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Donnie Yen in the film, which will follow on the close of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum where Winston betrayed John, shooting him on the orders of the High Table in order to get the Continental back in good status with the assassin’s council.
The new film is directed by Stahelski from a screenplay by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch. It is set to premiere on May 27th, 2022.
