Kurt Angle Says WWE Canceled Plans For His Short-Term Return

Kurt Angle was set for a quick return to TV for WWE, but he says the plans were canceled at the last minute. Angle said last week on The Kurt Angle show that he got a call from WWE and they “want[ed] me to be involved in the show for the next month or so.” However, he noted on his latest episode that plans changed.

“I went to the Royal Rumble,” Angle said (per Wrestling Inc). “The WWE wanted me to do a short program that they ended up canceling at the last second… But I want to make it clear, I’m not signed with the WWE. They weren’t going to sign me anyway. It was gonna be a three-week program. It got canceled, but you know my obligation is to the show, the Kurt Angle show, and that’s it.”
