Taron Egerton Confirms He’s Had Talks With Marvel Studios About Wolverine

In an interview with The New York Times, Taron Egerton revealed that he’s had talks with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige about possibly playing Wolverine. The role was previously portrayed by Hugh Jackman from 2000 to 2017. Jackman retired his version of Wolverine in Logan, which killed off the character.

He said: “I don’t think it would be wrong to say that. I’d be excited but I’d be apprehensive as well, because Hugh is so associated with the role that I’d wonder if it’d be very difficult for someone else to do it… But hopefully if it does come around, they’ll give me a shot.”

Egerton is best known for his roles in the Kingsman films, as well as playing Elton John in Rocketman.
