Mary Elizabeth Winstead Reportedly Playing Hera In Ahsoka Series

We’ve known for a while that Mary Elizabeth Winstead will appear on the upcoming Ahsoka series, and a new report claims she’ll be playing Hera Syndulla. Bespin Bulletin reports that their sources have confirmed that the Birds of Prey and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World star will play Hera in the upcoming series, which stars Rosario Dawson as the titular character. Collider reports that they had heard the same rumors.

If the rumor turns out to be true, Winstead will join Natashia Liu Bordizzo and Eman Esfandi as actors bringing to life characters from Star Wars Rebels. Bordizzo is playing Sabine Wren in the series, while Esfandi is playing Ezra Bridger. A teaser for Ahsoka shown at Star Wars Celebration did feature a shot of Hera from behind, but this would be the first potential confirmation of who would be playing her.

Ivanna Sakhno and Ray Stevenson are also set to appear in the series, though their roles aren’t yet known. Ahsoka will premiere on Disney+ sometime next year.
