X Sequel MaXXXine Announces Cast With Mia Goth, Kevin Bacon, More

Ti West’s X is getting a direct sequel in MaXXXine, and the film’s cast has been revealed. A24 announced on Wednesday that the previously-announced sequel to the 2022 slasher film will see (as expected) Mia Goth return for her role as Maxine, the sole survivor from X. In addition, Kevin Bacon, Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Halsey, and Giancarlo Esposito are joining the film, as you can see in the below teaser:

The film will be a follow-up to the 1970s-set film and will be written and directed by West. It is described as follows:

“MaXXXine reverses the franchise’s trajectory through time to pick up with Maxine after the violent events of X, as the sole survivor continues her journey towards fame, setting out to make it as an actress in 1980s Los Angeles.”
