Aaron Taylor-Johnson Wages Bloody War In Kraven The Hunter Redband Trailer

The first trailer for Sony’s Kraven the Hunter is online, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson waging a violent war as the titular character. Sony Pictures released the first redband trailer for the R-rated Sony Spider-Man Universe film on Monday, which features the first full look at Taylor-Johnson in action.

Taylor-Johnson has previously said that his Kraven would differ significantly from the comic book version, and the trailer makes that clear. Instead of a man who is out to hunt the most dangerous animals (and superheroes) of the world, this film’s Kraven hunts the dregs of mankind as as the most dangerous game and has a seemingly preternatural connection to animals. He also has a vendetta against his father (Russell Crowe), who leaves him for dead as a young man after a failed hunt and seemingly spurs Kraven’s transformation and mission.

The film is directed by J.C. Chandor from a script by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk. Releasing on October 6th, it stars Taylor-Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott and Crowe, and is described as follows:
