Twisted Metal Ranks Among Peacock’s Top-Watched Original Series To Date

Twisted Metal looks to be a hit with Peacock, where it is ranking among their most-watched originals to date. Deadline reports that the comedy series, which is adapted from the popular video game franchise, is joining Bel Air, The Best Man: Final Chapters, Poker Face and Based on a True Story in the list of Peacock’s top five original series launches.

NBCUniversal said that people watch an average of three episodes at a time of the series, and that there’s been a number of people who have binged all ten episodes at once. NBCUniversal did not mention specific numbers, as per usual.

According to Nielsen, the series drew 400 million viewing minutes in the weekend after its premiere on July 27th which made it one of the most-watched originals of the week. The series stars Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, with Will Arnett and Joe Seanoa, Neve Campbell, Richard Cabral, Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, and Lou Beatty Jr. It is described as follows:

With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.
