The Last of Us Season 2 To Start Production In Early 2024

HBO will kick off production of The Last of Us early on next year. According to Bloody Disgusting, HBO head Casey Bloys announced on Thursday during a press event that the second season of the hit show is targeting an early 2024 production start and a 2025 premiere.
The key here of course is whether the SAG-AFTRA strike gets resolved in time. The new season is reportedly set to adapt the second video game in the series, though specifics have been kept under wraps. The Craig Mazin-created series was a massive hit for HBO in its first season both critically and commercially, and was officially renewed back in January.
