Sony Changes Release Dates For Kraven the Hunter and Karate Kid

Variety reports that Sony has changed release dates for both Kraven the Hunter and Karate Kid, moving the latter to 2025.

Kraven was originally set to arrive on August 30 but will now come out on December 13. It will be available in IMAX and other large formats. That date originally belonged to Karate Kid, which was moved to May 30, 2025. This means it arrives after the sixth and final season of Netflix’s Cobra Kai.

Kraven the Hunter stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott and Russell Crowe. It was directed by JC Chandor from a story by Richard Wenk, who wrote the script with Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. It’s produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and David Householter.

Karate Kid will star Ben Wang, Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, Ming-Na Wen, Aramis Knight, Wyatt Oleff, Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio. It was directed by Jonathan Entwistle from a script by Rob Lieber. Karen Rosenfelt is the producer.

Taking Kraven‘s spot is the horror film They Listen from Columbia Pictures and Blumhouse. It stars John Cho, Katherine Waterston, Havana Rose Liu, Lukita Maxwell, David Dastmalchian and Keith Carradine. It is written and directed by Chris Weitz and produced by Jason Blum, Chris Weitz and Andrew Miano.
