Speaking to the Boston Herald, WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley shared his excitement about being able to end his career on his own terms. He and Bubba Ray Dudley are scheduled to face The Hardy Boyz in a Tables match at TNA Bound for Glory with the TNA and NXT Tag Team Championships on the line. You can check out some of the highlights of the conversation below:
On retiring in 2016: “It’s an honor and a privilege to go out there and wrestle for one last time. Vince McMahon wanted me to retire and be a producer in WWE, which is why I originally retired [in 2016]. I’m healthy, I’m ready, and this is my chance to finally go out on my terms.”
On what to expect from the Tables match against The Hardy Boyz: “We’re not going to reinvent the wheel here. We already did that. But we know how to create something legendary, and that’s what we’re going to do.”
TNA Bound for Glory will take place tonight at Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts. It will feature several wrestlers from NXT due to WWE’s current partnership with TNA, and 411 will have live coverage of the show.
