Danhausen’s AEW contract expires soon, and he is expected to have interest from WWE according to a new report. As previously reported, the Very Nice, Very Evil One’s contract with AEW is set to expire in February. Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that according to sources in WWE, Danhausen will have interest from WWE once his deal is up.
The report cites a source as saying that they believe Danhausen would excel in the NXT setting. Note that there’s no confirmation that he will be coming to WWE at this time, as he is still under his AEW deal and afterward both sides would still obviously have to come to the negotiating table.
Danhausen has not appeared on AEW TV in 2025. He has continued to work the independent scene, but his last appearance for AEW or ROH was at Final Battle 2024. He had previously requested that injury time not be added to his deal, but it did end up being added. He has reportedly not been backstage at AEW in a long time and has not been considered in creative plans for a while. He joined AEW in January of 2022.
