Danhausen’s AEW Contract Reportedly Up Early Next Year

We have yet another update on Danhausen’s AEW status courtesy of a new report. As noted earlier, Danhausen’s AEW deal is not expected to be up before the WWE Royal Rumble. A new report from Fightful Select confirms that news, narrowing it down to specifically February 2026.

Danhausen’s contract was originally scheduled to end in the summer but was extended due to injury time. He hasn’t been used since ROH Final Battle last year.

Sources in AEW noted that the Very Nice, Very Evil One hasn’t been seen backstage in a long time, and has not been considered in creative plans for a while. He joined AEW in January of 2022.
