The Butcher Warns AEW Tag Teams That He and The Blade Are Back

It looks like a veteran AEW tag team might soon be returning to in-ring competition. In a post on his Instagram account, The Butcher shared a photo of himself and his tag team partner, where he also issued a warning to the tag teams of AEW. He wrote in the caption earlier today, “Butcher and Blade are back *****. Watch your mouthes tag teams. @aew”

The wrestlers have not appeared on AEW TV as a tag team since early 2024, when The Blade was sidelined with a spinal injury. However, The Butcher did wrestle some singles matches in AEW and ROH while The Blade was injured, last appearing on a February 2025 edition of AEW Collision, where he lost to Gabe Kidd.

Meanwhile, The Blade finally made his in-ring return at the Greektown 10th Anniversary Show in Toronto last month, winning a Triple Threat Match against Bill Collier and Sam Holloway for the Greektown Pro Wrestling Greektown Cup Title. You can view The Butcher’s new Instagram post below:
