The Righteous Reveal What Tag Teams They Were Inspired By Growing Up

The Righteous have their inspirations like any other group of wrestlers, and the tag team recently revealed who their favorite teams were growing up. Dutch and Vincent are freshly signed to TNA and competed against The Hardys for the TNA World Tag Team Champions at TNA Genesis.

Ahead of the match, the team spoke with Denise Salcedo for a new interview. They spoke during the conversation about what teams inspired them growing up, naming their Genesis opponents as well as Dutch naming Demolition and The Road Warriors. You can check out the highlights below::

Vincent On the Tag Teams That Inspired Him Growing Up:

Growing up like, for me I love the Rockers, you know what I mean? Which is kind of similar to the Hardys later on. So I just love that whole tag team era of like, the Attitude Era, of the TLCs and all that stuff in that tag team division at that time. So that what really kind of made me want to become a wrestler and kind of make a career out of this. So that that that’s definitely the time that I can remember the most as like a kid growing up and just like watching that stuff for hours. And it was just on from there.”

Dutch On His Favorite Tag teams:

“Yeah, it’s insane with the Hardys. I mean, obviously they are in our eyes the greatest of all time when it comes to tag teams. Aside from them, when I was growing up, Road Warriors, Demolition. I mean, just looking at them, it’s like, ‘Wow. I need to see what these guys are doing just based off of what they look like.’ I mean, coming out with facepaint and shoulderpads with spikes on it. It doesn’t get much cooler than that. As a eight-year-old kid watching that, not knowing what’s coming out next. And here come these two giant men like I said, with shoulderpads with spikes and crazy hair and crazy facepaint. I’m like, ‘Yeah, this is this is what I want.'”
