AEW Collision’s rating and audience spiked for last week’s show to months-long bests (with a caveat). Saturday’s episode brought in a 0.07 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic and 492,000 viewers per Wrestlenomics. Those numbers are up a hefty 94.5% and 250% (not a typo) respectively from the previous episode’s 0.02 demo rating and audience of 253,000.

The demo rating was the best for the show since the November 19th episode, which aired as part of a block with Dynamite on Wednesday also had a 0.07. Meanwhile, the total audience was the best since the May 29th, 2025 episode, which had an NBA lead-in, had 504,000 viewers.

And now for that caveat. Variety reported last week that Nielsen was adjusting its Big Data + Panel methodology for cable and that those changes went into effect last week. Nielson is adding new data from the Advertising Research Foundation’s DASH study which records how U.S. households connect to and consume TV, use video-capable digital devices, and interact with and share streaming media and ecommerce accounts.

This resulted in spikes across the board in wrestling programming on cable last week, though none so severe as Collision’s. (For reference, Dynamite’s numbers rose 12.5% in the demo and 31.1% in viewers while Smackdown’s demo rating was up 31.8%.) The move is reportedly not related to the well-documented complaints that the Big Data + Panel system was inaccurately tabulating viewers in key demographics including the all-important 18 – 49 demo. That said, the change is likely to have at least a short-term compensation for the ratings drops that Big Data + Panel brought, at least for cable shows.

As such, year-to-year comparisons are particularly sketchy at the moment. All that being said, AEW Collision is averaging a 0.36 demo rating and 306,000 viewers in 2026 to date, compared to a 0.078 demo rating and 294,000 viewers at the same point in 2025.
