Lola Vice Comments on Arriving in AAA & Teaming with Mr. Iguana

Lola Vice has been working all over WWE-affiliated television recently. Most recently, she defeated Kelani Jordan at Vengeance Day in an NXT Underground match. Lola’s been most active in NXT & AAA, where she recently became one-half of the Mixed Tag Team Champions alongside the popular Mr. Iguana.

Lola sat down with Denise Salcedo to discuss her stay in
AAA along with a litany of other topics. Some highlights are covered below:

On Arriving in AAA & The Changes During Her Time There:

“When I first got told like, “Hey, Lola, you’re coming to Mexico,” I was like, “Wow, okay.” I had never wrestled outside of NXT. And I was So I went to Mexico actually, I think two or three shows before WWE completely took over it. And I got to see the way the talent there wrestled. I got to see the ring that they would wrestle in. A little piece of wood. They’re always in pain. I saw the way they did things and it made me appreciate the facilities we had at NXT more. Then I saw when WWE took over and Undertaker came in as the boss and now they changed the ring, they changed the production, they changed the crew, it was like wow. Not only did I see AAA before, but I saw it grow in front of my eyes to what it is today, and then to be a part of that and then be a character on the show and actually show a different side to Lola Vice that’s not as fight but more a character in Triple A. I think the fans have liked seeing me work two different ways and I’ve tried to sprinkle in my lucha stuff that I do in Mexico into NXT and now there’s chants of “Lucha Lola” which I think is it’s so funny and so cute. I think AAA has has put eyes on me outside of the United States and even when I went to Saudi like I feel like people were recognizing me also for my work in AAA and I think this has just been the best thing to happen to my career.”

On Joining with Mr. Iguana to Win the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship:

“When I did Worlds Collide with Stephanie, I think that was like the beginning to my AAA journey. Mr. Iguana went viral on that show and I remember he was at NXT the week after and I was like, “Wanna do a Tik Tok together?” and I did like a Love Island Tik Tok with him, but then nothing. But then when I got to AAA and they were like, “Hey, you’re in a program with Mr. Iguana.” And then I saw the way that Hiedra was treating Iguana, I was like, “Oh no, ain’t no one going to treat you like that.” So I told Iguana, “Just trust me. Together we could win the mixed tag team championships.” And I did it. and it’s my first title in pro wrestling.”
