Kendal Grey made her final defense of the EVOLVE Women’s Championship, vacating the title on this week’s WWE EVOLVE. Wednesday night’s episode saw Grey defend her title against Tyra Mae Steele on Wednesday night’s show. Grey defeated Steele in the main event with her Shades Of Grey finisher.
After the match, Grey went to the entrance area and cut a promo in which she thanked the fans for supporting her from the start. She said EVOLVE gave her a place to become more confident and that she couldn’t have done it without the fans.
Grey then said that just like she took over EVOLVE, she will be taking over NXT every Tuesday. She then handed the title to the new EVOLVE General Manager, Timothy Thatcher. You can see a clip of the moment below.
Grey held the EVOLVE Women’s Championship for 147 recognized days, having won it at EVOLVE Succession from Kali Armstrong. She has competed semi-regularly in NXT and even challenged for the NXT Women’s Title twice. She was the 2025 women’s Iron Survivor, winning said match at NXT Deadline. She is part of the WrenQCC alongside Wren Sinclair on Tuesday night’s show, which airs on The CW and Netflix internationally.
