Randy Orton Brawls With Cody Rhodes, Lays Out Jelly Roll On WWE Smackdown

Randy Orton continued to channel his inner Viper, brawling with Cody Rhodes on this week’s WWE Smackdown and laying out Jelly Roll with an RKO. Friday night’s episode saw the Legend Killer continue to escalate his feud with Rhodes as they prepare to battle for the latter’s Undisputed WWE Championship. Orton followed up his attack on Rhodes a couple of weeks ago by facing off with Matt Cardona, who he beat in moderately short order.

Once the match was done, Rhodes’ bus arrived at the venue. Orton waited for Rhodes to get down to the ring and they started to brawl. Security came out to break up the fight but were unable to separate the two as they fought around the ringside area.

Things cooled off a bit and Jelly Roll, who teamed with Orton last year at SummerSlam, came down to try and talk things out. Orton then took out a couple of security guards before nailing Roll with an RKO. He left the ring and backed up the ramp as Rhodes and officials checked on the musician. Rhodes will defend the WWE Undisputed Championship against Orton at WrestleMania 42, which takes place on April 18th and 19th from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
