Where is WWE Superstar and former United States Champion Ilja Dragunov? Dragunov hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since the SmackDown before WrestleMania 42, where he competed in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. In the latest Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp answered a fan question regarding Dragunov, with some insight into his recent whereabouts.
According to Sapp, Dragunov has recently been training at Nattie Neidhart and TJ Wilson’s Dungeon. Sapp added that he hasn’t heard much of “anything else” or involvement for Dragunov in any WWE creative plans coming up.
Sapp noted that he also hasn’t heard about Dragunov being injured, pointing out that Dragunov likely wouldn’t be training at the Dungeon if he weren’t cleared for it. Sapp added that things have been “quiet” for Dragunov.
Ilja Dragunov notably returned to WWE TV from a long layoff due to an ACL injury last October, where he defeated Sami Zayn in a US Title Open Title Challenge Match, winning the belt. He later lost the title a couple of months later to Carmelo Hayes on the December 26 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
