Nic Nemeth Takes a Shot at Goldberg While Naming His Favorite Opponent

Reigning TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth has faced the who’s who of professional wrestling during his tenured career. The list includes John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and more.

During a recent Q&A session with fans on social media, a fan asked Nemeth to name his favorite opponent. In response, the TNA star said:

“Anyone but Goldberg!”

Nemeth faced Goldberg at SummerSlam 2019 in what was essentially a squash match, with the WCW veteran making short work of “The Showoff.” Goldberg delivered three Spears to Nemeth during and after the match.

Last year, during an interaction with Chris Van Vliet, Nic Nemeth revealed that he almost left WWE over the layout of his match with Goldberg at SummerSlam 2019. You can check his comments HERE.

Nic Nemeth’s WWE career eventually came to an end in September 2023 when he was released by the company. He debuted for TNA Wrestling in January 2024 and recently captured the TNA World Championship for the second time in his illustrious career.

Meanwhile, Goldberg had his retirement match at last July’s Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta, Georgia, where he lost to then-WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.
