Jey Uso’s wife, Takecia Fatu, has filed for divorce from the WWE star after 12 years of marriage, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The filing marks the beginning of the couple’s divorce proceedings, who have been together since their teenage years.
Jey Uso, whose real name is Joshua Samuel Fatu, has not publicly commented on the filing. The couple has largely kept their personal lives out of the spotlight despite his long WWE career. According to reports, they first met while attending high school in Pensacola, Florida. They remained together for years before getting married in 2014.
The couple shares two sons together. Their youngest son, Jeyce, was born in 2012 and is still a minor. They also have an older son who is over 18. Throughout Jey’s rise as one half of The Usos and later as a singles star, Takecia has rarely made public appearances.
According to the court documents, Takecia listed February 13, 2014, as the date of their marriage and stated that the marriage is “irretrievably broken.”
In the filing, Takecia requested primary physical custody of Jeyce and stated that she is open to joint legal custody with Jey Uso. She also asked the court to grant her exclusive use of the couple’s home in Georgia. In addition, the filing seeks child support, spousal support, and payment of attorney fees.
At this stage, the case remains in its early phases.
