Jim Ross Hopeful of Making it to All In: London Despite Upcoming Brain Surgery

AEW veteran Jim Ross is hopeful of making it to All In: London despite his upcoming brain surgery next month.

As noted previously, Ross announced earlier this month that he is headed for brain surgery. The legendary commentator expressed optimism about it going well on the recent Grilling JR podcast and also revealed that it would take place sometime in August.

On the latest edition of his podcast, which is set to air tomorrow, Conrad Thompson asked JR about his status for All Out: Chicago on September 26. Ross said that while he’d love to do that, his sights are currently set on traveling to the UK for All In at Wembley Stadium on August 30. He is also looking forward to his WrestleCon appearance later this month, when he will reunite with his longtime broadcast partner Jerry “The King” Lawler.

Here’s what JR said [via Wrestling Observer]:

“I hope so. I’d love to do that. I have my sights set on the UK and Wembley. You know, that’s a big event, and it’s a good trip. It’s a non-stop flight. I enjoy that opportunity, so that’s kind of where I’m setting my sights. I got that big two-day appearance coming in Minneapolis soon. That’s going to be fun.”

Ross last appeared on AEW television at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view in Queens, New York, this past May, joining the commentary team for the Continental Championship match between Jon Moxley and Kyle O’Reilly. He suffered his second fall of that month after returning home and was subsequently hospitalized for several weeks.
