Dana White Reveals How Long Conor McGregor Is Expected To Be Sidelined

Conor McGregor is expected to be out of action for around 12 months after the knee injury he suffered at UFC 329, according to the company’s CEO, Dana White.

Earlier reports suggested that McGregor tore both the ACL and meniscus in his right knee during the fight against Max Holloway. He addressed the injury shortly after the fight and compared it with his previous leg injury against Holloway in 2013, noting that this one involved his right (lead) leg rather than his back leg.

“I have no idea… “We had him on FaceTime tonight, ringside. But Conor McGregor’s out for a year.”

The injury required surgery, and Conor McGregor has already begun the rehabilitation process. He still has one more fight left on his UFC contract, but it’s not confirmed who he would face once he returns next year. The promotion has not announced any plans beyond White’s projected recovery timeline.
