Lyra Valkyria Says She Can Take Raquel Rodriguez ‘Easy,’ Sends Message To Sol Ruca

Lyra Valkyria has the Women’s Intercontinental Title back in her sights, and she thinks she can beat Raquel Rodriguez “easy” for it. Valkyria was the inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, but she hasn’t had the title since she lost it to Becky Lynch at WWE Money in the Bank last year.

Valkyria has since turned to the dark side, snapping on Bayley back in late June after they failed to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. With Bayley in her rearview, Valkyria told Adrian Hernandez for Unlikely that she’s eventually coming for the title. She also sent a message to Sol Ruca, who lost the title to Raquel Rodriguez on last week’s WWE Raw. You can see the highlights below:

On Her Message to Sol Ruca:

“Yeah, so — sucks you lost your title! I was going to tell her, I wanted to be the one to beat her. But you know, I really hope she’s okay. A big loss like that can really do something to you. And it sucks that she was so happy and everything was going so great in her life. Well, now we’ll find out who she really is.

On the Women’s Intercontinental Title:

“As far as the championship goes, Raquel. Yeah, I’m still pretty confident I can beat her. I could take Raquel easy. Raquel, Sol — yeah, so La Mas Ruda is going to have to watch out because eventually it’s coming back to number one. You know what I mean?”
