Kyle O’Reilly has punched his ticket to the second round of the inaugural AEW Continental Challenge Cup at the expense of Roderick Strong.

Tonight’s episode of Collision was headlined by the final first-round match of the Continental Challenge Cup, with Kyle O’ Reilly battling Roderick Strong.

The final stretch of the match saw both competitors trade forearm blows. Both kept trying for a Suplex, only for the other to counter it. O’Reilly eventually secured the pinfall via a cradle to book his spot in the semifinals.

A disappointed Strong shoved O’Reilly after the match but then helped the latter get up and hugged him.

O’Reilly joins Claudio Castagnoli, Orange Cassidy, Eddie Kingston, Jay White, Hechicero, Nigel McGuinness, and reigning Continental Champion Jon Moxley in the second round.
