Kyle Fletcher says that he’s trying not to think too much about his match with Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita at AEW All In as of yet. Fletcher will defend his AEW International Championship against his fellow Don Callis Family member Okada, as well as his friend-turned-enemy Takeshita, at this weekend’s PPV. Callis had Okada added to the match to increase the odds that the title stays with his group.

Fletcher spoke with Adam Bernard for The Sportster about the match and what it means for him to face the two. He also expressed his reservations about Don Callis’ plan to have Okada be part of the match but noted that he trusts the DCF leader. You can see the highlights below:

On Facing Okada and Takeshita At All In:

“Yeah, I think it hasn’t and probably won’t sink in for a little while. I think it’s very — you try to think about it, but you try not to think about it too much, because if you do, you’ll psych yourself out. You start getting nervous two weeks in advance, and that’s not ideal.

“But yeah, both those guys have been people I’ve watched, studied. Okada since before I even started wrestling training. Takeshita, you know, been watching his career almost from the very start in Japan. And I can’t think of two better opponents for Wembley Stadium, honestly.”

On Okada Being Added To the Match:

“Yeah, look. This plan that Don has concocted, it’s — you know, I feel a little bit hurt by the fact that he didn’t think I could beat Takeshita on my own, seeing as I won the championship from Takeshita on my own. But I understand his perspective. I understand his thought process, and I do owe a lot to Don. So I’m willing to trust him and his plan.

“However, in my head, the number one priority if this is for the family, if this is for our betterment, our greater good — Okada should be the one helping me retain the title. Realistically, this title reign that I’m having is legendary. Hopefully will go down as a legendary title reign. So I don’t see why it should end, especially if we have a 100% chance of winning with two of us in there. So that’s my thought process.”
