Will Ospreay had a special entrance for his World Title match at AEW All In, and he spoke about what it meant to him after the show. Ospreay’s entrance for the match saw him walk through the backstage area and pass several figures from his wrestling past and present from Zack Sabre Jr. and Ricochet to his United Empire stablemates, Jon Moxley, and more.
Ospreay was asked during the post-show media scrum about the entrance, as well as what he said to Kenny Omega just before the finish You can see highlights below:
On His Entrance:
“No, honestly for me, it was walking past all the people that made me. Like, I walked past Zack Sabre Jr, who was like the first mountain in British wrestling that I climbed. Guys like Michael Oku, who was my last British wrestling match. Ricochet, from the Best of the Super Juniors. Swerve, Kyle and Davis, then seeing [Alex Windsor] there and then, Moxley. It was mind-blowing to like — even though there might be hard feelings towards some of them, maybe some love towards others — I think honestly it was one of the coolest moments to know there was a moment of appreciation from all of them and they were ready to see me step into this position. To me, that was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. I haven’t watched it back yet, but people are saying it was pretty flipping sick. So I can’t wait to see it.”
On What He Said To Omega Before the Finish:
“I just — I knew after he kicked out of the Stormbreaker at one, I said, ‘He’s got nothing left.’ So I just looked at him and I said, ‘Thank you.’ Then smacked him as hard as I physically f**king could. [chuckles]”
