Raj Dhesi Responds to Critic on Social Media Calling His Title Run a ‘Failure’

Former WWE Superstar and WWE Champion Raj Dhesi (aka Jinder Mahal0 clapped back at an X user who criticized him and his title run. The X user wrote, “Nobody will EVER convince me that Jinder Mahal was a great WWE Champion. He literally was only champion to appeal to the Indian marketing, which was a failure. Nobody could take him seriously because the fact that he was a glorified jobber.”

Raj Dhesi later wrote in response, “Genuinely curious, what tangible measure are people using to determine that it was a failure? Viewership? Ratings? Revenue? Something else?”

Jinder Mahal won the title from Randy Orton at WWE Backlash 2017. He held the title for 169 days, losing it to AJ Styles on SmackDown in Manchester, England in November of that year.

Raj Dhesi was released by WWE in April 2024. He wrestled for a WWE World Title for the last time on the January 15, 2024 edition of Monday Night Raw, losing to Seth Rollins in a bout for the World Heavyweight Title.
