Backstage Notes on Success of AAA TripleMania 34, Plans for Next Year’s Show

WWE just put together the two-night AAA TripleMania 34 event last week, with Night 1 being held in Las Vegas and Night 2 in Mexico City. A new report by WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has more details on the event’s success.

According to the report, a source states that WWE is “absolutely considering bookending next year’s TripleMania” with episodes of SmackDown and Raw similar to this year. WWE held the Sept. 11 episode of SmackDown and this week’s Raw in Mexico City.

Additionally, WrestleVotes reports that similar sources also indicate they’d be surprised if all three shows didn’t end up happening together again, coming off the success of the weekend ticket and merchandise sales, along with the positive enthusiasm coming out of the city and the talent who worked the shows.

Night 1 of AAA TripleMania 34 reportedly had 6,433 tickets distributed at the MGM Grand Garden Arena the day of the show. Next year’s TripleMania will also mark TripleMania 35, and WWE is reportedly looking to capitalize on the special anniversary.
