Zoey Serrano On Her Plans For TNA Run: ‘I Can’t Hold Back Anymore’

Zoey Serrano says that she’s going to go with her gut in TNA in a way she didn’t during her time with WWE. The former Zoey Stark made her TNA debut as Zoey Serrano on the August 27th episode of Impact. She is set to team with Shayna Baszler and challenge for the TNA World Tag Team Championships at Bound For Glory this weekend.

Serrano spoke with The Wrestling Classic and discussed what she plans on doing different this time around and why TNA was the right choice for her. You can see the highlights below:

On What She’s Doing Different Now That She’s In TNA:

“I’m just going to go with my gut instinct, and I can’t hold back anymore. I wish it was more dynamic, like I wish I had a more dynamic answer for you. But I think I held who I truly was back, and wouldn’t let myself be who I am. So this goal, like my main goal now is to just go out there, be me, do what I feel is right for me.”

On Why TNA Was the Right Choice For Her:

“So, I don’t know if you’re a believer or not, but I believe in God. And I sat there and I prayed about this for almost a month straight. And then I just felt a very strong gut like, pull of ‘TNA is the answer,’ you know? I don’t know why, but I always knew for whatever reason like that was where my gut was going.

“And it was just one of those things where before Tommy Dreamer got released or quit or whatever the situation is, I don’t know. But when Tommy Dreamer was still there, he actually reached out to me, and then he left. But when he reached out to me, I was like, ‘Oh, I feel like that’s God answering my prayer and I’m going to continue down this direction.’ And then I had a conversation with Carlos and right after that phone call, right away he was like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it. Let’s sign you.’ So, it was pretty easy. It wasn’t like it was a hard thing. It was like, it was such an easy road to go down where it just felt right.”
