WWE is reportedly still planning to hold Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 7, despite ongoing security concerns in the region.

After a missile strike at King Khalid International Airport on October 10, Saudi authorities reported at least 12 deaths and 309 injuries, while airport operations were temporarily suspended. The situation has raised questions about WWE’s plans with less than a month remaining before the event.

According to a new PWInsider Elite report (via WrestlingInc.com), WWE has not had any conversation about moving the premium live event to another location, and it is indeed going to Riyadh for the show. The company is reportedly consulting with the Saudi government and a private security firm, who are described as “experts on the region.” The report further noted WWE will not make a final decision without an “affirmative” from the security firm.

Additionally, the report said that while WWE is paying close attention to the situation in the Middle East, a source dismissed the rumors that Crown Jewel has a backup location in a European city.

The PWInsider Elite report contradicts F4WOnline’s report from earlier today. Bryan Alvarez had reported that, “Riyadh is still the plan for Crown Jewel, although there is a backup city in the US that is on the table.”

WWE has not announced any changes to the event. Chief Content Officer Triple H also promoted the event on social media, confirming that Crown Jewel is scheduled to take place live from Riyadh on November 7.
