AEW Fight Forever Reportedly Gets Release Date
AEW Fight Forever finally has a release date, and it’s coming soon according to a new report. According to Fightful Select, the long-awaited AEW video game is set for release on June 27th as of today. Mike Straw had reported earlier this week that the game was likely set for release in the two weeks surrounding AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door, which will take place on June 25th. According to Fightful, several retailers were told of a late June release window before the June 27th date was confirmed. An official announcement on the game’s release date is said to be coming over the next week.
The site says that AEW does hold rights to the game engine according to sources, meaning that a release for a future game is possible. The working plan with Fight Forever was that it would be a one-off game with regular updates.
According to those who have worked on the game, it plays smoothly and resembles WWF No Mercy in that capacity. The CAW feature has some limitations, and as of the last time they had checked there were not plans for community creations.
