Marvel’s Doctor Doom Coming to Fortnite With Absolute Doom DLC

During Saturday’s Disney Experiences showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro to reveal more details on the previously announced expansive collaboration with Disney and Epic Games, which is set to bring game experiences connected to Fornite. The showcase also revealed a new Marvel-themed Doctor Doom DLC is coming to Fortnite for Chapter 5 Season 4, titled Absolute Doom.
Jennifer Lee from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pete Docter from Pixar Animation Studios, Kevin Feige from Marvel Studios, and Dave Filoni from Lucasfilm were also on hand to discuss the Disney and Epic Games collaboration. The upcoming plans will bring Disney storytelling to a new game environment. They also revealed how the world’s most famous characters and stories will converge in a singular connected universe, that will enable fans to watch, play, and create their own Disney stories.
The new Marvel season of Fortnite featuring Doctor Doom debuts on August 16. New items in the DLC include Captain America’s Shield, War Machine’s Arsenal, and Dual Micro SMGs. Unlockable outfits for the season include Gwenpool, War Machine, Peelverine (a cross between Peely and Wolverine), Emma Frost, Captain Jonesy, Mysterio, Shuri, and Doctor Doom. Doom’s outfit will be available via Battle Pass Quests in September as well.
Other Disney characters coming soon to Fortnite include Disney Villains, The Incredibles, and The Mandalorian. The Absolute Doom Battle Pass will be available for 950 V-Bucks. You can check out the Absolute Doom announcement trailer below:
