Alberto El Patron vs. Combate Global Lawsuit Allowed To Move Forward

The lawsuit filed by Alberto El Patron against Combate Global will be allowed to move forward, as ruled during this week. PWInsider reports that the US District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled on Tuesday that the lawsuit will move forward. The ruling terminated Combate Global Holdco, Inc., the parent company, from the lawsuit which leaves Combat Global LLC as the sole defendant.
Alberto El Patron filed a lawsuit back in October alleging that Combate Global, LLC breached the contract between them, claiming that they owe him $250,000 for his fight with Tito Ortiz. He also claimed that they are still controlling his social media accounts even though he no longer works for them.
The court has ruled that the case will go to a jury trial and El Patron must file a new amended lawsuit by August 9th. A date for the trial has not yet been set; depositions are to be ordered to completed by January 30th, 2023.
