Andre Fili on UFC Comeback: “I’ve Got a Lot to Prove”

Andre Fili spoke with MMAjunkie about his win at UFC Fight Night 78, his first fight since a loss back in March at UFC Fight Night 62. Check out the highlights:

On the talent in Team Alpha Male: “After the things I feel like I’ve been going through lately, I have a lot to prove. I’m on a team with guys who are staples in the sport – guys like Urijah Faber and Chad Mendes, Joesph Benadvidez, Danny Castillo, T.J. Dillashaw, all these guys. And then there’s a whole new class of kids coming up – Chris Holdsworth, Paige VanZant, Cody (Garbrandt), and they’re all doing these big things.”

On showing he can be a contender: “I dropped the ball in my last fight and I’ve got a lot to prove. I had to come out here and make a statement and show that not only do I belong in the sport, but I belong at the top. I belong to be one of the leaders of this new generation.”
