Blagoy Ivanov vs. Shawn Jordan for Heavyweight Title Set for WSOF 36

WSOF announced a new heavyweight title fight during last night’s WSOF 34 broadcast. WSOF 36 in February will feature a heavyweight title bout with champion Blagoy Ivanov facing challenger Shawn Jordan.

Jordan is a UFC veteran and is 19-7 in MMA. He won his WSOF debut at WSOF 33, knocking out Ashley Gooch in the first round. Ivanov won his title at WSOF 21 in June 2015. He’s 14-1 in MMA, and he last defended his title against Josh Copeland at WSOF 31 last June.

WSOF 35 is set for February 25. The city and venue for the event will be announced at a later date. The fight card will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network. Prelims will be streamed on NBCSN’s website.
