April 22, 2018 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

UFC featherweight fighter Cub Swanson released a statement on his Instagram account following his loss to Frankie Edgar. In the co-main event for last night’s fight card, he lost to Frankie Edgar by unanimous decision.

Swanson wrote on the loss: “Well not the outcome I was looking for but that’s the fight game. Congrats Frankie & I’m sorry to hear about your father. To all my supporters ‘Thank you so much & I promise to come back stronger!'”

Swanson and Edgar previously fought at UFC Fight Night 57 in 2014. Edgar won that fight by submission late into the fifth round. However, it was a much more dominant and one-sided performance for Edgar in that particular fight.

Last night’s event was held at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The event was broadcast live on FS1. Prelims were shown on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass. You can check out 411mania’s live coverage and results from the event RIGHT HERE.
