Douglas Lima vs. Rory MacDonald Added To Bellator Event In January

The Los Angeles Times reports that Bellator MMA has announced a welterweight title fight for January 20 between champion Douglas Lima and challenger Rory MacDonald. It happens at the Forum in Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale at 10 AM on Ticketmaster on September 29.

MacDonald said: “When I signed with Bellator, I made it clear I wanted to take over — multiple weight classes and multiple championships. Douglas Lima and his title are first on the list before I move onto the next.”

Lima added: “I haven’t been this healthy in a long time and Rory is going to be just another win on my record.”

Bellator President Scott Coker said: “These two are going to put on an incredible show.“
