On Rose Namajunas training with Torres: “It means that I’m so tough they have to get in groups and gangs to prepare for the fights with me. That’s the point. I appreciate it. They have to learn from each other how to try to beat Joanna. They can’t do this. That’s the point. Karolina Kowalkiewicz did the same. She went to my old gym to train before the fight with Claudia Gadelha. Rose was training with someone else. Tecia is training with Rose. I don’t care. It means a lot to me. It means that I’m the baddest chick on the planet. Thank you, girls.”

On discussions with Dana White about a possible title shot against Namajunas: “I cannot tell you. It’s between me and him. It’s his birthday tomorrow, so I must win for Dana White and make him smile because of my victory. You will hear that very soon.”
