Luke Rockhold Says UFC 194 Fight Should Have Been Stopped Sooner

Luke Rockhold was on TMZ Sports to talk about his win over Chris Weidman at UFC 194 and said that he thinks the fight should have been stopped sooner. Rockhold said on the show that when he rewatched the fight, he noted that the third round’s finish was very one-sided.

“Going back and looking at it now, it was pretty brutal,” he said. “The unanswered punches I was delivering…I was just thinking in my head, ‘Is this man gonna stop it?'”

Rockhold said that he was also confused between the rounds because he wasn’t sure if Weidman would be allowed to leave his corner to continue the fight. Rockhold won in the fourth round to capture the UFC middleweight title.
