Melvin Manhoef Says Bellator 155 Bout Will Go Down in History

Melvin Manhoef spoke with MMAjunkie about his fight with Rafael Carvalho at Bellator 155 and more. Some highlights are below:

On his expectations for the fight: “Our fight will go down in Bellator and MMA history. He’s an amazing athlete. More experienced than I am. It will be a battle of strikers, but our styles aren’t very similar. He’s very explosive while I look at timing to impose my pace.”

On his win over Brandon Halsey at Bellator 144: “I knew Halsey was a very explosive athlete. But from the videos I’d seen before, he also got tired quickly. I always work on my conditioning in order to recover fast. So what happened was within expectations. I managed to survive his pressure in the first round and impose my muay Thai game by the second round.”

On Manhoef: “I am not going to hold back on strength, on stamina, on anything. I hope he gives it his best, because I am going to give mine.”
