Speaking to reporters in a post-fight media scrum at UFC Fight Night 89 (via MMAjunkie), UFC fighter Randa Markos discussed her win over Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger. Below are some highlights.

Markos on getting better what she’s good at: “I just need to get better at what I’m good at. And I just need to believe in myself. That’s the biggest thing. I didn’t trust in my abilities before, and that’s why I moved to Montreal (where she spent time training at Tristar). I thought there was something more for me, something I was missing. I went out there and I realized what I need to work on here – and I came back stronger, mentally, and just knowing myself more. I just need to believe in myself.”

Her thoughts on Jones-Lybarger: “I didn’t really research her. I went back to the old me of not looking at my opponent at all, not knowing. Of course my coaches studied her a bit, but I didn’t want to know anything. I just went in there with what I’ve been learning and believing in myself.”

On a possible fight with Bec Rawlings: “Definitely, I’ve been asking for that fight for a little while. And I would love to fight her if she’s willing to come forward and fight me.”
