Thiago Santos Tore ACL, MCL, PCL, And Meniscus In Fight Against Jon Jones

July 9, 2019 | Posted by Jeremy Lambert

– Fans who watched UFC 239 probably noticed Thiago Santos having trouble with his movement after the early stages of the first round of his fight against Jon Jones. It turns out that Santos tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), medial collateral ligament (MCL), posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) and meniscus of his left knee.

Despite the injury, Santos would take the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion to a decision and win on one judge’s scorecard. It was the first time in his UFC career that Jones had lost in the eyes of a judge.

Santos is expected to be sidelined for the rest of 2019 with the injury.
