Eminem made his acting debut with the 2002 film 8 Mile, and 50 Cent says a TV adaptation of the movie is in the works. The rapper and producer appeared on Big Boy TV and noted that he’s working with Eminem to bring the story of the film to television, noting (per Deadline), ““I’m gonna bring his 8 Mile to television. We’re in motion. It’s gonna be big. I ain’t got no duds. I’m battin’ a hundred, I’m battin’ a hundred.”

50 added that “I think it should be there for [Eminem’s] legacy because it’s important to me that they understand it.” He hinted that the series adaptation would provide a backstory for the film’s lead character of B-Rabbit and look at his younger years.

Eminem starred as B-Rabbit in the Curtis Hanson-directed film, which was loosely based on Eminem’s own life. Also starring Kim Basinger, Brittany Murphy, Mekhi Phifer, and Anthony Mackie, the film earned a Best Original Song Oscar for the rapper’s “Lose Yourself.”
