Activision & Paramount Developing Call of Duty Live-Action Film

Call of Duty is set to make its way to the big screeen at last, as Activision and Paramount have teamed up for a live-action film based on the franchise. THR reports that the two companies are have signed a deal to develop the blockbuster FPS video game for a film.

The two companies said in a statement that the film will “thrill its massive global fan base by delivering on the hallmarks of what fans love about the iconic series, while boldly expanding the franchise to entirely new audiences.”

Call of Duty is a massively successful video grame franchise with 500 million copies sold over the years. It has been the top-selling franchise in the US for the past six years and has spanned multiple eras of warfare in both the past and future.

Plot details are not yet clear regarding the planned film, which has long been sought for an adaptation dating back to 2015.

Paramount CEO David Ellison said in a statement:
