Alien: Romulus Trailer Showcases That No One Can Hear You Scream in Space

20th Century Studios today debuted the official trailer for the highly anticipated new installment of the Alien film franchise with Alien: Romulus. You can check out the terrifying new trailer, featuring the return of the classic Xenomorphs and more below. The film will is due out later this summer.

Filmmaker Fede Alvarez takes the helm behind the camera for the upcoming “interquel” feature. He directs from a script he co-wrote with longtime collaborator Rodo Sayagues. Original Alien filmmaker Ridley Scott serves as producer for the project.

In the new interquel, a group of young space colonizers discovers a derelict space station. While there, they come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe. The Xenomorphs have returned for more terrifying chaos and mayhem.

Alien: Romulus stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu. It’s also produced by original Alien producer Walter Hill, with Fede Alvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon, Brent O’Connor, and Tom Moran executive producing the project. It debuts exclusively in theaters on August 16.
