Andy Serkis Says That Venom Will Eventually Meet Spider-Man: ‘It’s Gonna Happen’

Director Andy Serkis believes that Tom Hardy’s Venom will meet Spider-Man on screen at some point, saying, “of course, it’s gonna happen.” Serkis spoke with IGN for an Instagram Live chat ahead of the film’s October 1st release date, and you can check out some highlights below (per JoBlo:
On Venom and Spider-Man eventually meeting: “Look, that’s the question on everyone’s lips. They want to know when Venom is going to meet Spider-Man. Personally, it’s never going to happen! I’m only joking! It’s going to happen…It’s gonna happen; of course, it’s gonna happen.”
On when that might happen: “Look, it depends when you want to get there and also what the appetite is. If people want more Venom stories, then to jump straight to Spider-Man, you could be missing out on many great supervillain characters between now and then … everybody wants to see Venom fight Spider-Man, so I think, again, it’s appetite…they’ll be sacrificing all of that stuff if they want to rush to that.”
