Anne Hathaway In Talks For Sesame Street Movie

The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Anne Hathaway is in talks to star in a new live-action film based on the children’s TV series Sesame Street. It will be directed by Jonathan Krisel (Portlandia). 21 Laps’ Shawn Levy and Entertainment 360’s Michael Aguilar will produce. The musical film is expected to feature Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch and Cookie Monster, among others. Chris Galletta wrote the script for Warner Bros, who will finance with MGM. Hathaway was the first choice for the project and has an offer, but it’s unknown if she will sign on.
