Anthony Mackie Confirms He’ll Wear Captain America Suit In Falcon & the Winter Soldier
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Steve Rogers appeared to pass the shield of Captain America onto Sam Wilson, which seems to suggest that with Chris Evans departing the MCU, Anthony Mackie will take over as Cap. Falcon became Captain America in the comics, so it makes sense that he would become a legacy character in the films as well. In an interview with MTV News, Mackie confirmed that he will wear a Captain America uniform in the Disney+ series Falcon & the Winter Soldier and he’s already been fitted for it.
He said: “I just had my first fitting. I did. It looks really good. It looks really good. They came to my house. I did a fitting in my house.”
He said he wasn’t sure how he would fit both the wings and the shield on his back, because we “didn’t get that far.” He added he’s been asking Marvel for spandex in his suit for about seven years.
